One of our favourite events of the year and it’s here already! We’ve had a peek and the huge marquee on Palace Green s a hive of activity with retailers and crafters setting up their stalls for the Christmas Festival weekend. Make sure you pop in and see us on your way to Palace Green – we’ve just restocked ‘William’s Secret Toy Shop’ with loads of new retro toys and games!

We were really excited to see TokyoMilk bubble baths featured in this week’s Mail on Sunday supplement, ‘YOU’ magazine. The gift editor was crazy about them (she’s got good taste!) and TokyoMilk is so different to the typical fragrance and body range with its’ collectable packaging and unusual (but amazing) scents like ‘Dead Sexy’ (even a favourite among men!), ‘Lapsong Su Chong’ and ‘Gin & Rosewater’.
There are very few customers who don’t comment on how eye catching and different the packaging is – from the glittered lip balm boxes to the bubble baths and perfumes with their design that shows through the bottle and its’ contents.

Those of you in and around Durham will have probably visited the recent ‘Lumiere‘ festival of light staged over four days. Our Saddler Street store was right in the thick of the festivities so we decided to join in and themed our window specially for the event! It seemed to go down a storm with passers-by and we even got a mention on the Lumiere blog too! I know these aren’t the best photos in the world – but you can always pop in and we’ll happily point out all of the candles we used!
The newest addition to our ‘Bed & Bath’ range is both eco-friendly and virtually unrivalled in quality.
